In 1994 the U.S. Government Agency for Health Care Policy and Research reported that "Of all the things doctors might do to treat acute low back pain in adults, only spinal manipulation (Chiropractic Adjustments) were shown to be the most cost effective and had the highest degree of patient satisfaction."
